16 Cozy Crockpot Soups for Fall

I’ve been leaning on my crockpot a lot lately as the weather starts to cool, and nothing hits like a warm, comforting bowl of soup!

Plus, I’m super lazy, so letting something cook all day without me having to watch it is perfect.

I’ve tried a bunch of recipes since I got my first crockpot and I’m excited to share them with you!

I hope you’re looking for some rich and hearty soups full of seasonal veggies, cozy spices, and tons of flavor.

These are so easy to toss together in the morning and smell amazing by afternoon.

Anyway, here are some of the best fall crockpot soups I know you’ll love:

1. Tortellini Soup

Add cheese tortellini, diced tomatoes, broth, and a handful of spinach to the crockpot.

Stir in some Italian seasoning and a pinch of red pepper flakes for a subtle kick.

Sometimes I like to throw in a can of tomato soup to make it suuuuuper creamy!

Let the soup cook on low until the tortellini is tender.

Sprinkle parmesan over each serving before ladling into bowls.

2. Mexican Street Corn Soup

Combine corn, diced peppers, black beans, and broth in the crockpot.

A little lime juice added near the end brightens the flavors!

Stir in a spoonful of mayo for creaminess and mix well.

Sprinkle some chili powder or smoked paprika over the top for a little bit of extra warmth (because it’s fall, right?).

Crumble cotija cheese and fresh cilantro over each bowl before serving.

3. Tuscan Sausage Soup

Brown some Italian sausage and add it to the crockpot with onions, garlic, and carrots.

Toss in diced tomatoes, kale, and cannellini beans or potatoes for a hearty base.

I usually drop in a bay leaf because it adds a really nice earthy flavor.

Stir everything occasionally so the vegetables stay tender but intact.

Drizzle olive oil over each serving for a finishing touch.

4. Pumpkin Soup

You can’t get much more fall than with pumpkin soup!

Add pureed pumpkin to the crockpot with chicken or vegetable broth.

Mix in chopped onions, garlic, and a pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon. Stir occasionally to keep the texture smooth.

You can swirl in a little cream or coconut milk for extra richness (and to make it look fancy).

Garnish with roasted pumpkin seeds or a swirl of cream before serving.

5. Cheddar Garlic Herb Potato Soup

Don’t you love it when all the ingredients are in the title? lol

Toss some diced potatoes, chopped onions, and minced garlic into the crockpot with broth.

Sprinkle in some thyme and parsley for flavor.

Stir it halfway through cooking to help the potatoes soften evenly.

Make sure to add shredded cheddar and a splash of milk or cream near the end to make it creamy.

Top it all off with extra cheese before serving.

6. Potato Broccoli Cheddar Soup

This one is my absolute favorite fall soup and I can’t wait to make it every year!

To make it yourself, add chopped potatoes, broccoli florets, onions, and garlic to the crockpot with broth.

A pinch of salt and pepper brings out the flavors.

Pour in milk or cream toward the end to create a smooth texture.

Sometimes I crumble in a little cooked bacon for a smoky note.

Ladle into bowls and sprinkle with cheddar or croutons.

7. Chicken Pot Pie Soup

It’s chicken pot pie but in soup form!

Place cooked chicken, carrots, peas, and diced potatoes in the crockpot with chicken broth.

Stir in thyme and parsley for a cozy, homey flavor.

Add cream near the end to get that signature richness.

You can drop small pieces of puff pastry or biscuit dough in just before serving.

Sprinkle with black pepper or paprika to finish.

8. Chicken Mushroom & Wild Rice Soup

You’ll never guess what’s in this one! lol

Combine some diced chicken, sliced mushrooms, chopped onions, carrots, and wild rice in the crockpot with broth.

Stir in a pinch of thyme and sage to enhance the autumn flavors.

Keep the rice moving occasionally so it cooks evenly.

If you want a richer texture, throw in a splash of cream near the end.

Serve it up with crusty bread for dunking.

9. Sweet Potato and Sausage Soup

Add diced sweet potatoes, sliced sausage, onions, and bell peppers to the crockpot with broth.

Stir in a pinch of smoked paprika and cumin for depth.

Don’t be afraid to throw in a few garlic cloves for extra aroma!

Let the soup cook on low until the sweet potatoes are tender.

Sprinkle fresh parsley or a bit of shredded cheese over each bowl before serving.

10. Butternut Squash Gnocchi Soup

Combine cubed butternut squash, gnocchi, onions, and garlic in the crockpot with vegetable or chicken broth.

Toss in a pinch of sage or rosemary for a cozy touch (and it will make your kitchen smell amaaaazing!).

Sometimes I stir in a splash of cream near the end for a silky finish.

Cook until the squash is soft and the gnocchi is tender.

Top with parmesan and a sprinkle of black pepper.

11. Lasagna Soup

You read that right: lasagna in soup form!

Add some ground beef, onions, and garlic to the crockpot with diced tomatoes and broth.

Stir in Italian seasoning and a pinch of red pepper flakes.

Drop in a handful of uncooked lasagna noodles a little before the end so they cook perfectly.

Let it simmer until the noodles are tender and the flavors meld.

Serve with a sprinkle of mozzarella and fresh basil.

12. Beef Barley Soup

Combine diced beef, carrots, celery, onions, and barley in the crockpot with beef broth.

Add thyme, rosemary, and a bay leaf for that earthy aroma and flavor.

And you can deepen the taste by browning the beef first!

Stir occasionally to keep the barley from sticking.

Ladle into bowls and sprinkle with parsley before serving.

13. Cheeseburger Soup

Here’s another one of my fall soup favorites!

Toss ground beef, onions, and diced potatoes into the crockpot with broth.

Add shredded cheddar near the end to melt into a creamy, cheesy texture.

Do you want to take it to the next level?

Stir in a little mustard or ketchup for that classic burger flavor!

Cook until the potatoes are tender and the soup is thickened.

Top with extra cheese or go wild with some bacon.

14. Autumn Wild Rice Soup

Combine some wild rice, diced chicken, carrots, celery, and onions in the crockpot with broth.

Toss in thyme, sage, and a bay leaf for warmth.

Like most soups, you can add a splash of cream near the end for that rich texture.

Stir occasionally to keep the rice cooking evenly.

Serve with crusty bread or sprinkle a little fresh parsley over each bowl.

15. Marry Me Chicken Soup

If you love marry me chicken, then you’ll love it as a soup!

Add diced chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and spinach to the crockpot with broth.

Stir in Italian seasoning and a pinch of red pepper flakes for a subtle kick.

You can sprinkle in parmesan while it’s cooking to add depth (and who doesn’t love some extra cheese?).

Let it cook on low until the chicken is tender and flavors blend.

Top each bowl with extra parmesan before serving.

16. Roasted Garlic Tomato Soup

Combine roasted garlic cloves, diced tomatoes, onions, and broth in the crockpot.

Add a pinch of basil or thyme to bring out the aroma. Sometimes I stir in a splash of cream for a velvety texture.

Let it cook until the tomatoes are soft and the flavors meld.

Blend slightly if you like a smoother texture before serving.
